How does one infuse the physical world with the digital world? - was the question HCL asked us. We provided them with end-to-end solutions by ideating, executing and deploying an interactive VR Experience of their Innovation Lab. It was a one of its kind experience which was a blend of Live VR and an entire 4 minute CG Experience. HCL wanted to create an experience through which visitors all around the globe could explore and navigate their HCL innovative lab in Chennai without physically being present there. The CG experience was a replica of their Data Center which had various servers and pods enabling the user to move and explore their lab. This experience was deployed for the HTC Vive and could be accessed through an Android App.
Our task was to present the finalists of one of the most popular dance reality shows - Sony Super Dancer in a never seen before and entertaining way. Three finalists were shown dancing individually on the same stage at the same time using the 360 degree VR technology. The objective was to make a 360 degree video for one of its most popular dance reality shows Super Dancer, making it a seamless spherical stage for an extremely immersive viewing experience. We replicated the stage on all sides with different light settings and made it a seamless spherical stage with the contestants dancing on three sides of the camera. A custom DSLR rig was built for the project to deliver visuals of the highest quality. To match up with the energy of the performances we implemented a spinning type transition which was quite challenging for the post production team, as there is no support for such a transition provided by any post production software till date.
The results were astonishing. The unique 360 degree Super Dancer video scored over 700,000 views on Facebook, making it one of the most viewed videos on Sony's Facebook page.
Have you ever thought of experiencing the lush green patches of Munnar sitting on your couch? Conforming with the advertising campaign of Kit Kat - ‘My Travel Break’, VR proved to be the best tool to maximize the engagement for their target audience.
One of the largest advertising companies, JWT, came to us with the idea of creating a Travel Break experience for KitKat’s campaign #MyTravelBreak.
We ideated an experience that would take the viewers through the expanse, culture, and feel of Munnar, Kerala. In partnership with Google using the YiHalo and Jump assembler ecosystem, we shot and delivered a 3D Stereoscopic VR ad film in a week. In this partnership with KitKat Liminal teleported the viewer to the serene locals of Munnar with the first such immersive VR experience ever made in India using 360 degree stereoscopic video and ambisonic sound.
It was one of the first 360 degree videos to be advertised on Youtube’s Masthead. This advertising campaign accumulated over 15M views and a positive engagement for the brand.
What if instead of playing Temple Run you were living it? Liminal was tasked with presenting an exceptional XR experience to the 1.4 million subscribers of one of the most trending Indian youtube channels - Shutter Authority.
Liminal collaborated as the VR partner with Shutter Authority. Our expertise in VR was strategically combined with a VFX/Game based story that Shutter Authority is known for. VR being an immersive medium we accomplished the idea of Temple Run - Pirate Cove In Real Life. A detailed RnD was done to use the drone with our 360 stereoscopic camera Yi Halo. We shot on the scenic locales of Andaman to match the ambience of the game.
The live action shoot in Andaman was pre-designed to match the 3D elements precisely with the expressions/actions of the characters. More than a third of the crowd witnessed the making of the stage and other VR experiences while they were at the venue.
What happens when one of the biggest production houses in the country approaches a talented VR startup? A never seen before experience is born in the world of Indian Cinema.
Dharma Productions approached Liminal during the production stages of the Vicky Kaushal starrer - “Bhoot.” Liminal was tasked with incorporating an immersive cinematic experience in this one of its kind horror film. Liminal sat down with the director to understand his vision with this horror film. The idea was to let the audience experience a one-on-one experience inside a paranormal ship. The audience would feel as if they are exploring the ship alongside Vicky Kaushal. We shot the entire sequence with Vicky Kaushal on set and then made it ready for Virtual Reality platforms in stereoscopic VR with 8K resolution.
Dharma Productions partnered with PVR cinemas and Kiosks were installed in PVR outlets across the country. The VR headset booths provided a personalised experience of the film to the user. This unique installation and campaign grabbed eyeballs of the industry and was well received by audiences alike. The next time you see a movie associated with VR, there is a good chance Liminal has a part to play.
In the work from home environment, HP wanted to introduce a work from home friendly product and provide network and security solutions to corporate clients. This was done by highlighting the technical conflicts that employees face on a day to day basis, the challenge was this had to be done virtually too.
We stepped in and with the use Virtual Reality reached top Chief Information Officers across the country and enabled an efficient knowledge transfer.
The challenge was to convey the conflicts and present solutions to CIO’s of Multinational Companies in India. The best way to do this was to create a 360 VR film with common conflicts that employees face and how HP products can make their life easier. The film was shot in live action using Cinematic VR and was created in Ambisonic sound for an immersive experience. One of the leading voices of the media world - Mr. Roshan Abbas, did the voice over for the film. We developed 3D models of HP products to highlight their importance in conflict resolution. Once the film was ready, Liminal shipped VR headsets to the personal addresses of CIO’s . This campaign resulted in a boost of sales for HP during the pandemic
VR technology was used to create a simulation of a driving experience in the cab of Mahindra XUV 500 and highlighting its product features during the drive using AR technology.
Mahindra and Mahindra Limited is an Indian multinational car manufacturing corporation. It is one of the largest vehicle manufacturers by production in India.
Collaborating with an advertising agency 22 Feet Tribal, we created a virtual drive experience of Mahindra’s new XUV W9, showcasing its interiors and advanced features.

Enormous sets, hundreds of dancers, artists, lights, camera and VR. This was the scene at Hyderabad’s shoot location where we had to capture the Making of the song Vacchadayyio Samu. The major challenge for us was to create an ambience for the viewer where they could watch their favorite star perform and at the same time, capture entertaining shots from the shoot venue. We had all of 8 hours, half a shift and a week to deliver this project. To say the least, we thrived.
This video gathered more than 300k views on YouTube and introduced audiences (who would never have experienced 360) to appreciate the medium.

A leading diamond manufacturer comes to us with a challenge - To give their internal corporate communication a sensorial breakthrough, to let people experience the intricacy of Diamond manufacturing. Our solution experts ideated a VR walkthrough of their manufacturing unit and we delivered this end-to-end VR production of their brand SRK diamond which takes us into their world of Diamond making.
Ruling the water management industry in India since 1998, Ashirvad pipes are a benchmark for quality pipe, PVC manufacturing and water management solutions across industry sectors. Entrusting us with their vision for innovation and operational excellence, they tasked us with the challenge to turn their otherwise monotonous internal training module system into an engaging experience where employees learn safety processes, machine interaction and workflow without actually being in the manufacturing unit. An exercise, before the real drill. We created a solution for them which included VR training modules where employees could learn about safety protocols, hazard management and machine management by taking them through a life in their day at Ashirvad.
Mungi being a leading industry giant in manufacturing technology aimed at making an out-of-the-ordinary marketing tool that encompasses the work that goes behind their cargo body manufacturing facility. They came to us with the task of delivering a quick return time 3D-360 experience, and our team was swift in churning out this narrative piece which follows their processes at length. To make the experience more intuitive, our solution experts added a layer of 3D graphics that highlight the key stakeholders, features and brand affiliations that have followed them through their journey.
In an effort to create their first ‘Make in India’ initiative that serves as a backbone for the aircraft industry in the country, Tata, built a high-end manufacturing capacity where aircrafts are tested. Their requirement from us encompassed a VR experience that would run at an ongoing TATA Expo at their research centre. This VR motion walkthrough gave people across the world an opportunity to not only view the facility up close and personal, but to also experience the vision that went behind building such a facility.

We were briefed to offer our VR Production services for an experience which would give their clients, fellow innovators and tech market experts a peek into the different use cases of this technology. We came on board to create this end-to-end VR-360 production of their campus where their employee takes us through the campus, its expanse and the facilities that it offers. We were the first companies in India to pioneer an experience like this in the tech industry. Our efforts to deliver a seamless experience have ensured us the trust of HCL in offering us more collaborations with their team. Cutting through the boundaries of borders, this film is still circulating in HCL offices around the world.
We designed and deployed a VR app which lets users explore the different shades and patterns of glass offered by AIS.
Keeping in-sync with AIS’s theme of experiencing glass, we designed interior and exterior locations in VR where the user can test out variating shades of the glass. We placed the glasses in divergent areas of each space in order to highlight the superior quality of the glasses and the value it adds to the overall aesthetics.
RMZ is a pioneer in the real-estate realm of India who design eco-friendly buildings & office spaces for residential and commercial purposes. In order to meet their requirement of showcasing their latest IT park offering to stakeholders and clients, we designed a VR walkthrough of their campus. We covered their campus through aerial and terrestrial views. To increase the reach of this experience for their internal communications and marketing, we also created a unique meeting module where they can plan meetings on the cloud, present this VR experience and view this walkthrough in an interactive way.
